The Graham Beck Ultra Brut is bottled as a vintage sparkling wine. He used to call himself Brut Zero. Since it has to do without sugar in the dosage, only the best beers that have a mature acidity are used for the base wine. There's no room for error, as the winery says.

The Ultra Brut Méthode Cap Classique is a handcrafted product that is only available in the best vintages. Two thirds of the vines are Chardonnay, one third Pinot Noir, which grow in the Western Cape in South Africa. The harvest is laboriously done by hand. Part of the harvest is fermented and matured in old wooden barrels. The 2017 vintage of Graham Beck Ultra Brut spent a long 62 months on the lees after bottle fermentation before being disgorged and put on sale.

The Ultra Brut Cap Classique is the quintessence of the Graham Beck style. It has a lively bouquet reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits and yeasty brioche notes. On the palate it shows a fine mousseux, the playful and lively taste impression is perfectly balanced by the creamy texture. This high-quality sparkling wine can be stored in the bottle for years to come, and it definitely doesn't have to be drunk young.

The Graham Beck Ultra Brut is of course an excellent aperitif, but it is also ideal as an accompaniment to food, why not try it with fresh oysters or crustaceans.
