Château de Fleurie has belonged to Jean Loron since 2015, who also owns the Loron trading house in Beaujolais. Before that, the winery belonged to the Brac de La Perrière family with the chateau built in the 1860s. The winery includes nine hectares of vines in the municipality of Fleurie, which are located on plots in the immediate vicinity of the château. The Gamay vines grow on granite soils in the Le Bourg, Les Rochaux, Point du Jour and La Madone plots.

This Fleurie is fermented to 60% as whole grapes, which gets structure and tannins from the stems and then matured in wooden barrels of various sizes. The Chateau de Fleurie from the Exceptional 2020 vintage has a ruby red color with violet reflections. Aromatically it is reminiscent of cassis, blueberries and cocoa. On the palate it is rich in extracts and equipped with fine tannins, everything is well balanced, crowned with a long-lasting finish. This is how Beaujolais works!

We particularly recommend this charmer with white meat, pasta dishes and buffets, as it adapts to many dishes and never dominates.
