LBV means "late bottled vintage" and, like the big brother, the vintage port, consists of different grape varieties of a vintage which are stored in barrels between 4-6 years, thus longer than the vintage port. Due to the longer barrel storage time, LBVs are usually ready for drinking when they enter the market, but can also be stored in the bottle.
The Feuerheerd LBV has an intense fruit, aromas such as cassis, chocolate and blackberries, also a slightly herbaceous note is found. In the taste it is voluminous, with fine sweetness and a vitalizing tannin framework.
