New in the Alexandins portfolio is the white Crozes-Hermitage les Garennes, which comes from their own vineyards with old vines near the village of Pont d'Isère. Hence labeled as Domaine les Alexandrins. The Roussanne and Marsanne grapes for this wine are fermented and matured in one and two year old wooden barrels, which gives aroma, noblesse and structure. There are only around 2,000 bottles of this excellent full-bodied white wine per year.
2020 is an excellent vintage in a more classic style, after the two very opulent predecessors 2018 and 2019. Will be able to mature for a long time.
