The Perrin Côtes-du-Rhône Réserve has been a hit in our portfolio for years. The Perrin family, which also owns the top winery Château de Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, knows how to give a wine from the warm growing region of the southern Rhône a striking elegance. The typical Rhône red wine vines Grenache Noir, Mourvedre and Syrah are used here.

Currently there is the Côtes-du-Rhône Reserve from Perrin from the really fine 2021 vintage. A rather cooler vintage, although that is relative these days, with fresh and precise wines that do not lack body. It is a cuvée made from the Grenache Noir grape variety, which grows near the city of Orange, while the Syrah comes from terraced vineyards in Vinsorbes, the stronghold for this grape on the southern Rhône. The powerful Mourvedre comes from various vineyards. The wine is aged in tanks and 25% in Fudern (large wooden barrels). This creates an excellent everyday red wine for discerning people, aromas of red and black berries, cherries and a little cinnamon and that wonderful smoothness of the Southern Rhône, while the wine is always fresh and easy to drink due to its fine tannin structure. One of ourabsolute favorites!
