The Chardonnay Prestige Cuvée from Bon Courage Estate grows in the Robertson wine-growing region in South Africa, around 160km west of Cape Town . A cool region appreciated for its elegant white wines.
The wine spends up to eight months in barriques, 10% new for the 2022 vintage, the remaining barrels became the second or third time occupied. This gives the wine a not overlying but noticeable woody note, which is responsible for the animating vanilla note in the fragrance, and there are also fruity notes reminiscent of citrus fruits and peaches. On the palate, the Chardonnay Prestige Bon Courage shows a nice creaminess, is intense and full-bodied, the acidity is low and in the finale you can find the fruity notes of the bouquet and a delicate note of butter.
A cheap barrique Chardonnay that appeals to a wide audience. Ideal with seafood, crustaceans, white foie gras and dishes with cream sauces.
