The premium cuvée at Doyard-Mahé is the Millésime Vieilles Vignes brut nature. The vines for this noble champagne come from two plots and have reached a remarkably high age of 70 years. The plots are classified as Premier Cru and planted 100% with Chardonnay. They result in a wine with a lot of substance, which, due to its balance at a very high level, can be dispensed with entirely.

The 2017 Brut Nature Vieilles Vignes has an intense scent of fine champagne yeast, the fruit is intense, as usual with Doyard-Mahé, and is supported by the elegant minerality of the calcareous soil. Ripe citrus fruits, mint, white flowers and brioche are found in the scent. On the palate it is powerful, long and always fresh and elegant. A great champagne with body that doesn't lack the sugar at all. That's great!

Due to its fullness, this noble champagne can be perfectly combined with food. Carol Doyard, the friendly owner of the winery, recommends it especially with lobster carpaccio with lemon zest or duck with oranges.
