The Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is located at the northern end of the Grand Cru hill in Chablis, which covers just 100 hectares, which is only about 2% of the total Chablis area under cultivation. Of these, 11 hectares are allocated to Les Preuses, which is reminiscent of a natural amphitheater in which heat is stored very well. Therefore, the wines from there show a lot of power and substance, but also elegance and aromatic intensity. They are also considered to be storable for a long time.

Fully in the house style of Jean-Marc Brocard, the Les Preuses Grand Cru is fermented in steel tanks and aged for fourteen months, the fermentation takes place automatically, only with the natural yeasts. The 2018 vintage brought a very good quantity of fully ripened grapes, so this wine is characterized by a ripe scent of citrus fruits and pome fruit, the mineral component gives a lot of freshness and finesse, you can also see a delicate floral note. On the palate, the Les Preuses is rather opulent for a Chablis, but it does not deny its origins and always remains vital and very elegant. You can enjoy it for at least the next 10 years, probably much longer.
