One Syrah barrel in the cellar of the Cave de la Petite Revolution developed an impressive independent charakter , recalling a vinological dragon, so Mr. Drescher decided to fill this barrel seperatetly. Supplemented with some Grenache Noir and Merlot for the balance arose thus the: SALAUX

The Salaux is fermented in the barrique according to the so-called "vinification integral". After 12 months of ageing, the wine is again filled into a second new barrel, which is called a 200% new barrique ageing.

The empty bottle glass alone weighs 1.2 kg, the cork of almost enormous length and, of course, the best available label paper was used. The label design was made by artist Johannes-Maximilian Müller.

The Salaux 2014 is strictly limited, there are just 360 0,75l bottles and 12 magnums total production.

The 2014er is a charmer . It has such a high extract level that it lids the palate as with silk. The strong tannins and the 15% alcohol totaly disappear in the huge body of this giant wine. This is really fascinating! In addition, there is probably the most noble Barriquescent a Provence wine has ever received. In 2014, however, a huge Salaux with intense dark berry fruit aromas emerged, similar to the 2012 vintage, with tension and charm, and with an almost incredibly long lasting finale.

It rivals the very best red wines worldwide. Like any great wine, it is also very lively, with a magnificent aromatic depth that makes the wine multifaceted and exciting. Absolutely breathtaking is the crystal-clear precision of the fruit and the fineness of the tannins. Such elegance is not yet known from Mediterranean cultivation areas.

The Salaux is certainly one of the rarest, most individual, exciting and best wines on the planet!
