The Carmenere Limited Release by Vina Sutil comes from particularly well matured grapes, grown in the Colchagua Valley in Chile. It is matured for 14-16 months in french and american oak barrels and for another six months in the bottle, before being sold.
The wine actually consists of 90% Carmenère, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. It shows aromas like ripe red and dark berries, pepper and a hint of caramel. Mature tannins characterize the taste with intense fruit and a very good extract. A wonderful Carmenere.
