The Pinot Bianco (= White Burgundy) of the Cantina Tramin is named Moriz, derived from Saint Mauritius, patron of Söll near Tramin. The grapes grow in the villages of Auer, Neumarkt and Tramin at an altitude of 450 to 600 meters. The wine is fermented and aged in the steeltanks, there is no malolactic fermentation made, to preserve the freshness. Nevertheless, the Moriz is a creamy white wine, which appeals to many dishes, alongside fish and light meat, also light summer salads and starters.
