Rauenthal, a district of Eltville, is located at a very high altitude, which means that the wines there have their very own character. They are said to have citrus notes and are often referred to as noblesse and charisma.

The Rauenthal Estate Riesling by Theresa Breuer is a fascinating local wine that bears its origins as well as the house style of the winery, which is defined by its mineral straightforwardness and clarity of aromas. The grapes for this wine come from the Rothenberg site and the top Nonnenberg site, from which the younger vines and peripheral sites, which do not qualify for the house's Großes Gewächs, find their way.

The Riesling Rauenthal 2021 by Breuer is characterized by the coolness of the vintage, white fruits such as pears, a delicate note of citrus and herbs characterize the scent. Everything looks crystal clear and wonderfully fresh. This continues on the palate, the wine is precise and full of tension, the structuring acidity is well clothed in the extract. This is an extremely high level for a local wine.

It's really exciting to taste the three Breuer local wines side by side and to explore the differences in their origins and the commonality of the winery's style. Drink this wine over the next 10 years, we particularly recommend it with river fish with white wine sauce, quiche, tarte flambée and, when it matures, also with pies.
