Ximénez-Spínola - Jerez

The Ximénez-Spínola winery in Jerez, Spain, has only dedicated itself to grow one grape variety, Pedro Ximenez. It is essential for the best sweet sherries. According to legend, it is said to come from Germany, but this seems to have been refuted in the meantime, in any case genetically there are no known relatives from the Moselle or Rhine.

Dry white wines from this vine are very rare. Ximénez-Spínola is a specialist for this. The roots of this winery as a wine producer go back to 1729. Of course there is also excellent sherry from this house, the range is complemented by the brandies. The winery has been in the family for nine generations, the focus is on high-quality artisanal production, the dry white wines are aged in French barriques. Due to the extremely calcareous soils and the warm climate, these wines have a very unique character.
