Yves Cuilleron is a passionate vintner who is lucky enough to own plots in the best vineyards of Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Cornas and Saint-Joseph. In 1987, he took over the winery from his uncle and expanded the vineyard to today 44 hectar AOP and 15 hectar Vin de France. Cuilleron is particularly famous for its Condrieu white wines, but also the Syrah red wines show the same huge dimension.
The vinification is done with great care, Cuilleron does a "green harvest", cutting off excess grapes in the summer. The is no use of insecticides and pesticides. Hand-picking is obligatory for the AOC wines. Yves Cuilleron does not want much barrique taste in his wines, which are supposed to bear mainly the character of the grape, vineyard and the manuscript of his winemaker.
The wines of Yves Cuilleron are found on the wine lists of the finest restaurants worldwide.
