Château Clinet, Pomerol
Château Clinet has one of the best plots on the plateau of Pomerol. The pebble loam soil is considered to be the finest Merlot terroir in the world , and 90% of the vineyard area is consequently planted with Merlot. In the middle of the 1980s, the famous oenologist Michel Rolland takes care for the winemaking of the then still unknown property and led it into the world elite. The wines of Château Clinet are considered opulent, juicy and hedonistic. Since the acquisition of the Château by the Laborde family in 1998, the wines of Clinet have also become structure and are among the most sought-after in Bordeaux.
