Berlioz, Adrien - Savoyen
The Domaine du Cellier des Crays by Adrien Berlioz is a star among the winemakers of the Savoy. His wines are usually sold out after a few weeks, or are already completely reserved before bottling. One understands immediately why, when tasting the wines. They have body, complexity and ripe acid, and in the topm level even a wonderful creaminess, which distinguishes them completely from the thin and neutral wines often found in this region.
Adrien Berlioz is a quality fanatic who has found the biodynamic cultivation as the right way to the top quality . Since 2013 he has one of the few sorting tables in the Savoy area and selects only the absolutely healthy and perfectly ripened berries for the production of his wines. The white wines consist of the varieties Altesse (for the Rousette de Savoie), which is related to the Nordrhône varieties Syrah, Marsanne or Rousanne and produces full-bodied white wines with a nice acidity or the Roussanne für the Chignin Bergeron, which is responsible for the powerful wines of Adrien Berlioz. The exciting red wines are made of the Mondeuse (Noir) and they can age well.
Almost all wines bear names from Adrien's ancestors. Organic cultivation ABCERT.
