2010 is regarded as one of the best vintages ever for Barolo, comparable only to the legendary 1947! Borgogno gave its 2010 Barolos one more year of maturity in the bottle, so the 2010s were realeased almost one year after almost all other winegrowers on the market. The Fossati 2010 has the typical orange color of traditional Baroli. Open nose of chocolate and a touch of mint. Highly dense, the huge ammount of tannins is well buffered, a very long finish. It tasted surprisingly round at the moment, thanks to the almost oily extract, which gives the wine a charming moment.
