The Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland is regarded as one of the best Riesling vineyards , not only in the beautiful Rheingau, but in all of Germany. Its steep slope is responsible for an above-average high solar radiation and the proximity to the Rhine for a high temperature, one of the highest in the entire Rheingau.
In the excellent vintage of 2014 the dry Berg Rottland Riesling of the Bischöfliches Weingut tastes fine, mineral and shows a first-class extraction in the long finale, the acid is ripe and supports the fruit, the wine is very vibrant, pure Rheingau.
