Peter Perabo gives time to his wines. The Pinots are matures 20 months in barrels and another 15 months in the bottle, before they are sold. The Assmannshauser Pinot Noirs of the Bischöflichen Weingüter is characterized by a fine Cassis scent, which gives these wines a unique character and is also different from the wines from Rüdesheimern taht are matured in the same cellar, which tend to smell like raspberry.
The 2013er brings the typical freshness and dashing precision of the vintage into the glass, the wine is dense, complex, playful and endowed with a long and comfortable final. A beautiful Rheingauer Pinot Noir with great individuality.
