The Bardolino grows approximately in the middle of the eastern shore of Lake Garda, between the lake and the Valpolicella Denomination of Origin. The Bardolino red wines are considered rather light, delicate and not too tannic. In summary, they are pleasant drinking wines at consumer-friendly prices that many people like. The Bardolino also triggers holiday memories for many people.
This example from Zenato is a high-quality and carefully prepared red wine, which unfortunately cannot be said of all Bardolino. For its red Bardolino, Zenato uses the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and even 10% Sangiovese, which is otherwise more familiar from Tuscany. The wine has a medium-strong ruby red colour, the nose is reminiscent of aromas such as red berries and cherries, with a light floral note in the background. On the palate it is balanced, charming and has a nice aftertaste. It just fits!
Enjoy this delicious Zenato Bardolino with pizza, pasta, white meat or slightly chilled for a barbecue party.
