Antiche Terre Venete is a winery founded in the early 1900s east of Lake Garda, specializing in the typical wines of Veneto such as Valpolicella, Ripasso and the powerful Amarone. Antiche Terre has over 50 hectares of vineyards in Valpantena, 15 of which are in the natural amphitheater of Sezano. The vines grow mainly in terraced vineyards, which are the most important prerequisite for high quality in this region.

The Amarone della Valpolicella from Antiche Terre Venete is made from the typical local grapes Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella. For this wine, particularly good grapes are harvested by hand and exposed to a natural drying process for three to four months, during which part of the water evaporates and the remaining juice is particularly concentrated. After the subsequent slow fermentation, the wine is then aged in oak barrels for 12-18 months, depending on the characteristics of the vintage, where it receives its finishing touches.

This Amarone has a deep garnet colour. The scent is reminiscent of dried plums, cherries and raspberries. On the palate it is juicy and voluminous, while being soft and equipped with a very long-lasting finish. A very good Amarone at a really fair price. Storage potential 8-10 years after harvest. An ideal accompaniment to intense stews or just a wine to meditate.
