The Saulheimer Riesling Ortswein was produced from high-quality grapes and low yields, which gives it its substance and depth. In addition, it was stored on the fine lees for 7 months to develop structure. The Thörles aged one third of this beautiful Riesling in traditional large wooden barrels, two thirds came from steel tanks. Due to the relatively late harvest at the end of October, the wine shows yellow fruity nuances such as peach and apricots, and a hint of herbs can also be perceived. On the palate it has a beautiful fullness of taste with mature, elegant Riesling acidity, in the long finish it shows a mineral bite. A lot of wine for the money! Can be stored for a few years.
