The Saulheim Riesling village wine was produced from high-quality grapes and low yields, which gives it its substance and depth. In addition, it was stored on the fine lees for 7 months in order to develop structure. The Thörle family aged this wonderful Riesling one third in traditional large wooden barrels, two thirds came from steel tanks. Due to the relatively late harvest at the end of October, the wine has yellow-fruity nuances such as peach and apricot, and you can also perceive a touch of herbs. On the palate it has a nice fullness of taste with ripe, elegant Riesling acid, in the long finale it shows mineral bite. Lots of wine for the money! Can be stored for a few years.
