The Lagrein from the Tradition line of the Terlan winery is carefully harvested by hand and, after fermentation, stored in large wooden barrels for seven to ten months until it has reached the optimal time for bottling. It is the winery's most important red wine, this highest quality of South Tyrol's autochthonous red grape varieties produces a rich and rather powerful wine that also goes well with intense dishes such as game or stews.
The Lagrein Alto Adige AOP from the warm and ripe 2023 vintage has a dark garnet red color. Its bouquet is reminiscent of dark berries, as well as cranberries and cherries, with a tone reminiscent of bay leaves. On the palate it shows the perfect ripeness of the grapes thanks to its juicy and harmonious taste and the fine tannin structure. It has an impressive length and is very velvety and rich. An excellent basic Lagrein. Many other wineries cannot keep up with their selections.
