The commune of Ladoix-Serrigny lies north of the city of Beaune and is one of the oldest wine-growing communes in Burgundy. The cultivation of Chardonnay makes up about a quarter of the area, this vine grows on the light marl soil, the Marnes Blanches. The famous Corton Hill also partly belongs to this municipality. Faiveley makes an equally elegant and full white Ladoix, which is fermented and aged in barriques for twelve months. The proportion of new barrels here is around a quarter.

2020 was an outstanding vintage for white Burgundies, fortunately in terms of both quality and quantity. The wines impress with their depth, extract and clarity. The Ladoix Les Marnes Blanches by Faiveley can be enjoyed young, but can also be stored for a longer period of time. A really great Burgundy at a reasonable price.

William Kelly from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rates the 2020 Ladoix Les Marnes Blanches from Domaine Faiveley with very good 90/100 points. He describes this wine as tight, chalky and with a salty finish. He sees it as proof that the wines of this AOP deserve to be better known.
