A wonderfully smooth and at the same time fresh Grauer Burgunder from Martin Waßmer, one of the top winemakers from the Markgräflerland, located south of Freiburg.
This Pinot Gris from Marin Waßmer is the estate wine of this grape variety. It comes from various locations around Bad Krotzingen, in the southern part of the Baden wine-growing region. A great deal of value is already placed here on an induced yield and thus on higher grape quality. The wine is stored in steel tanks before bottling to preserve a fruity character.
Aromatically, the dry Grauer Burgunder Gutswein vom Waßmer is reminiscent of white fruits such as apples and pears, with notes of citrus fruits and a hint of pineapple. It is powerful and supple on the palate, just as velvety as a Pinot Gris should be, without losing the drinking flow. Delicious!
Try it with white meat, fish, dishes with cream sauces or mushroom dishes.
