The Moncaro winery was founded in 1964 in the heart of the Verdicchio wine-growing region of Castelli di Jesi. There were also other lands in the growing area of Rosso Conero and Rosso Piceno, all located in the Marche region in the province of Ancona in central Italy.
The Verdicchio Le Vele from Moncaro comes from the winery in Montecarotto, which specializes in the production of this fresh white wine. The Le Vele has been around since the early 1990s, it represents the fresh and modern style of a Verdicchio, which tastes best in its early fruit phase. The grapes are harvested very early in the cool morning to bring freshness and clarity to the wine. The result is a lively white wine with aromas of white and yellow fruits such as apple, peach and citrus fruits, as well as the typical Verdicchio note of bitter almonds, which connoisseurs appreciate so much. On the palate it is very nicely balanced with medium weight and good intensity. A beautiful everyday white wine that goes well with many dishes. We particularly recommend it with sea and freshwater fish, seafood, summer salads and creamy risotto dishes.
The Moncaro le Vele has won several awards, for example it has already won three gold medals at the MUNDUS VINI competition, gold at the Sommelier Wine Awards in London and many more. The outstanding price-benefit ratio of this wine is usually emphasized.
