Dominode is a small (2.1 ha), but qualitatively excellent 1er Cru vineyard in the municipality of Savigny-les-Beaune. It is located in the best section, halfway up the hill, at the entrance to the Savigny Valley, at the foot of the Jarons hill. It takes its name from the Latin "Dominus", as it once belonged to the Lord of Savigny.
The outstanding 2019 Savigny-Dominode by Domaine Chanson has a rather dark color for Pinot Noir, with a shimmering purple edge. In the bouquet there are delicate floral notes and aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries, as well as a fine spicy note. On the palate it is complex and well balanced, has a silky texture with refined tannins. Nice length in the finale with a lot of elegance with all strength.
