The Roble by Eloy Escudero has a new label from the 2019 vintage. Its juicy taste and smooth nature have not changed. The Escudero Roble is made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes, a synonym used in the Ribera del Duero for the Spanish noble vine Tempranillo. This wine matures for six months in used French barriques. It shows aromas such as ripe dark berries, vanilla, leather and a delicate Mediterranean herbal note. It has a lot of power and extract on the palate, the juicy fullness balances the wine very nicely. A prime example of modern Ribera del Duero, which has a large following worldwide. Despite its richness, this charming red wine never loses its balance and always makes you want another sip. Very good!
