The Zolla Primitivo-Merlot by Vigneti di Salento / Farnese is a 50/50 cuvée of these grape varieties, which has spent several months in barriques of american and french oak. The emphasis here is on the juicy fruit and a soft basic character, the aromas of ripe red berries and cherries and some cinnamon in the fragrance. On the palate it is rich, with velvety tannins and an intensely fruity and long-lasting finish. An ideal accompaniment of pizza & pasta, red meats and harder cheese varieties.
