The Langmeil Hangin' Snakes consists of the Shiraz grapes and 4% Viognier , a combination traditionally used in a Côte-Rôtie in the Rhône Valley. Interestingly, both grape varieties are even fermented together at Langmeil, because it is believed that the wine is aromaticly much better this way.

The Hangin' Snakes is a powerful Australian wine with a ruby-red color and aromas of plums, raspberries, biscuit and fresh tobacco, as well as a nice toasty note of the barriques. Rich and juicy on the palate, the tannins are in the background and give the fruit the necessary corset.

Tasting note Frank Rembold Jan. 2023: dark red color, purple rim. Juicy Syrah nose with dark berries, smells of ripe grapes but not overripe. Full-bodied on the palate, but always amazingly drinkable, best balance, lots of charm and intense fruitiness. I drank it slightly chilled and had a lot of fun with it.
