The Greco di Tufo is one of the highest quality white wines from southern Italy, Greco is the grape variety, Tufo (=tuff rock) describes the soil of volcanic origin. He finds the balance between fruit and minerality, as well as body and freshness. Since 2003 it has held the highest level of distinction in Italian viticulture, the DOCG status.
The Vesevo Greco di Tufo by Farnese shows fine notes such as flowers, ripe apples, citrus fruits, kiwi and gooseberries. On the palate it is medium-bodied, lively and fruity and surprisingly fresh for its southern origin, with fullness and extract in the finish. A wonderful accompaniment to summer dishes and fish dishes.
