Chardonnay from Savigny-les-Beaune is rare. Pinot Noir actually dominates here. Chanson grew one of the few white Savigny-les-Beaune, it comes from 2.18 hectares of vines owned by Domaine Chanson, grown in the Location Hauts-Marconnets, a 1er Cru vineyard on the border with Beaune.

This enchanting white wine is rich in substance, so it can easily be stored in small oak barrels for 15 months. The result is a wine with floral aromas and spicy aromas, paired with the vanilla of the wooden barrel aging. On the palate it is lively, with well-integrated acidity and a complex and juicy aftertaste. Has real class!

2021 was a cooler vintage, just as we knew it from the good years of the 1980s and 90s. The wines are stylistically more classic than their predecessors, which were characterized by the summer heat; freshness, clarity, extract and elegance characterize the wines. The Hauts-Marconnets 2021 smells of lime blossoms and ripe yellow fruits such as peaches and apricots, toasted bread and fine minerality. On the palate it is perfectly balanced, precise with a lot of pressure.

Try this great Burgundy with pâtés, shellfish, scallops, grilled fish or semi-hard cheeses.
