The 15 hectares of vines lie directly around the Chateau de Fontaine-Audon in the north-west of the Sancerre appellation. The soil consists of flintstone (= silex), which gives the wine a very precise cut and a fine mineral charakter. The Sauvignon Blanc loves this terroir and gives highly elegant wines, which have the characteristic gooseberry and currant smell and remain at all depth always lively and fresh.
