Copertino is a DOP from the Lecce area in Puglia. The wine must be made from at least 70% Negroamaro grapes.
The Copertino Riserva Contessa Marina is a powerful red, voluminous and velvety, as you would expect from a southern Italian. In contrast to many of his contemporaries, he is relatively dry, he also does not need sweetness, since it is in the best balance.
