The Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes (= old vines) by Domaine Daniel Pollier is matured in barriques, a quarter of the barrels are new, the rest is in second or third use. The 2020 edition is especially elegant, it shows scents like hazelnuts, floral notes, white and yellow fruits, and a lovely oak influence that supports the fruit, but does not dominate it. A alternative to the rather expensive white wines of the Côte d'Or.
