Les Agrillats is an AOC vineyard in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Philippe Gavignet's Pinot Noir vines were mainly planted in 1962. The Domaine owns 0.65 hectares of vineyards on clay-limestone soils here, which provide for the cool finesse in this Burgundy. The ageing takes place in small wooden barrels, which are renewed to a third annually .
2019 is an excellent vintage with grippy and powerful wines in the best balance. The fragrance of the Agrillats is characterized by red berries like raspberry, joined by the noble woody aroma of the barriques or Pièces, as the small barrels in Burgundy are called. The palate is rich in extract, with ripe tannins and beautiful length. A crystal clear Pinot, as connoisseurs appreciate it.
