Mercurey is one of the key AOCs in Faiveley's portfolio. Even with this Village quality, you have a lot of Pinot Noir in the glass, the clear fruit of the vintage gains complexity thanks to the old vines that were planted in 1962, 1978 and 1981.

The harvest was of course done by hand. After fermentation, this Mercurey was aged in barriques for 12 months, 10% new oak and only moderately toasted. The result is a classicly structured red Burgundy, which, thanks to its round tannins, can be enjoyed with great pleasure from an early age, but can of course also rest in the cellar for a few years. It is equally suitable for the newcomer to Burgundy as it is for the connoisseur.
