Mas des Tannes is the organic wine series by Paul Mas. The wines grow in the Coteaux de Bessilles near Montagnac in the Languedoc, where the sheepfold of the Valmagne monastery used to be. Jean-Claude Mas bought these vineyards in 2006, which the previous owner had already cultivated biodynamically. So it made sense to continue this cultivation method and to expand the range with organic wines. This wine consists of 45% Grenache Noir, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Mourvedre, which are aged without contact with wood to emphasize the fruity character of Languedoc wines. The Mas des Tannes is round like a ball, soft and voluminous, an inexpensive organic red wine that everyone really likes.
