In the Cuvee Classic red of the Seewinkelhof from Salzl, the Zweigelt for the softness, the fullness is provided by the Merlot and for the aromatic spiciness are Blaufränkisch and Cabernet responsible. A part is matured in used barriques, which only deliver a touch of oak, since they were used for the fourth time. In this way, this beautiful red wine cuvée from the Römerstein vineyard has the perfect balance, in which the fruitiness naturally finds its rightful place, just as you would expect from a Salzl wine expected. The Classic Cuvee red is a charming wine with well-ripened tannins, its aromas are reminiscent of blueberries, sour cherries, herbs and plums, and there is also a hint of black tea.
In culinary terms, it is a real all-rounder, from meat to pasta, pizza to vegetarian food, a lot is possible here. The wine goes well with almost every dish.
