The Châteauneuf-du-Pape les Sinards is made from the young vines of Chateau de Beaucastel and grapes from another vineyard. It is partly vinified with a short mash heating like the Beaucastel, the other part is traditionally fermented. It is matured for one year in large wooden barrels. The 2018 vintage is one of the best of the last decades, the Chateauneuf Les Sinards by Perrin is concentrated and balanced, shows an unusual elegance and freshness for this southern region, it has burgundian tendencies. Aromatic are red and black fruits, herbs and chocolate. A really great Chateauneuf-du-Pape, also very attractively priced.
