Château Grand-Puy-Ducasse is a 5th Cru Classé from the illustrious wine community of Pauillac. In recent years the oenologist Hubert de Bouärd, owner of the famous Chateau l'Angelus in Saint-Emilion, has succeeded in significantly increasing the quality without the prices on the market having already increased accordingly. That makes it a very good value in this expensive community.
The excellent 2018 vintage received a correspondingly positive response from the reviews of the international press, here are a few examples:
Vinous, Antonio Galloni: 92-95 / 100 "The 2018 Grand Puy Ducasse is gorgeous."
James Suckling: 93-94 / 100 "... Muscular for this cru. Full-bodied yet energetic and intense."
