This Chardonnay from Altenburger is an independent wine , which shows the location character of the Jungeberg and its development flawlessly. Exotic fruit notes, peach and a fine herbal note can be found in the wide range of aromas. It is very tightly woven on the palate, with power, fullness and plenty of extract, the fine acidity gives it support and an elegant, long finish. That's class! Total production (vintage 2015): 1700 0.75 L bottles and a few magnums.
Falstaff magazine gave the Chardonnay Jungsberg 2019 an incredible 94/100 points. Quote: "Medium green-yellow, golden reflections. Delicately smoky-herbaly underlaid peach fruit, a hint of pineapple, mineral, nuances of flint. Complex, juicy, fine hazelnut veil, freshly structured, salty finish, individual character, light-footed, good length, nougat in the Finish, sure aging potential, already very seductive.
