Campo al Mare belongs to the Folonari family and is located in Bolgheri in Tuscany, where the Bordeaux vines are in charge and some of the most famous Supertuscans grow, which have shaped the worldwide reputation of Tuscan wines. The red vines Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot for the Bolgheri rosso grow on 25 hectares, with the Merlot dominating here with approx. 60% depending on the vintage. It is aged in 500l oak barrels, the so-called tonneaux, which have often replaced the barrique today because their influence on the wine is more subtle. The result is a juicy and opulent red wine that is typical of modern Tuscany and impresses with its concentration.
