This Beaune 1er Cru is made from Chardonnay vines from various 1er Cru vineyards owned by Domaine Chanson. It gets its name from the Bastion cellars, where Chanson has its wine production.
This wine is very typical of Chanson's house style, the wood influence is rather subtle, the focus is on clarity and freshness, as well as very good concentration and a complex interplay of aromas. A finesse burgundy as it should be.
