This Shiraz is selected from excellent plots with mostly very old vine stocks (some plants are 100 years old ) of the Valley Floor in Barossa and of Eden Valley. Traditional artisanal winemaking and the maturing in barriques make it a textbook example of a Barossa Shiraz, with a vigorous and full flavor, not a quiet appearance, but one with an impressive personality.
The 2017 Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz consists of 86% grapes from the Barossa Valley and 14% from the Eden Valley. 10% of the barriques were new, the rest used barrels. The vintage 2017 is of excellent quality and intensity. You will find aromas of chocolate, plums and raspberries, as well as a fine spicy note, reminiscent of savory. It shows a lot of volume on the palate, but the tannins are always gentle. In addition to the fruity aromas, notes of cedar and vanilla are found in the very intense final. A magnificent red.
