The MerlotReserve is the soft among the soft in the Reserve collection of the Salzl family. Its juicy fullness, combined with the fine barrique spiciness, is irresistible. The dark purple 2018 Merlot Reserve has an aromatic scent of currants, prunes, blackberries, nougat, cocoa and vanilla. Once again, the Salzls treated their Merlot to 100% new barrique barrels, in which the wine was aged for 12 months. This juicy Merlot combines strength and structure with juicy abundance of fruit and can hardly be surpassed when it comes to drinking pleasure even when it is young, even if it continues to mature excellently in the bottle.
