Ladoix is located north of the city of Beaune and is one of the oldest wine-growing communities in Burgundy. White wine makes up about a quarter of the production here, the famous Corton hill partly belongs to this municipality, which is actually called Ladoix-Serrigny. Faiveley produces a super elegant Ladoix that is fermented and aged in barriques, the proportion of new barrels is a little under a third.
2017 was a particularly good vintage for white Burgundy, which impresses with its balance. The Ladoix from Faiveley can be enjoyed young, but also very well stored, the structure is easy to grip, it is aromatic, complex and will continue to refine in the bottle. A really great burgundy at a reasonably reasonable price.
