The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes (=old vines) has now reached its first drinking phase. The vines from which this delicious red Burgundy is produced were planted in 1945 and 1969. This old age ensures a low yield of very high-quality berries, which give the wine depth and pressure. around a quarter of new barriques add a noble spiciness and fine tannin structure.
