Thomas Jefferson described the white Hermitage on on of his journeys in the 18th century as "the best wine in the world" and "incomparable".
The Marsanne and Roussanne grapes for the Hermitage Blanc Maison les Alexandrins are aged in new barriques for 10 months, which is easily overcome by the powerful and fresh top-class vintage 2016. In addition to the oak flavor, notes of peach, acacia blossom and a little quince are perceptible. In taste it is very powerful, shows a lot of structure, but it is also lively. The final lasts enormously long. Impressive and long storable.
